What we sell
PGL sells musical instruments, accessories, parts, and printed music and method books. The catalog includes PGL Originals, which are products developed and sold under the PGL name, alongside products from other manufacturers and brands.
Placing an order
Orders are placed and processed through Squarespace Commerce, and payments are handled by Squarespace Payments. After you order you will receive an email receipt, followed by a second email with your tracking number once the order ships.
Prices
Prices are shown in US dollars. Shipping is calculated at checkout and is not included in the listed price. Prices and product availability can change without notice.
Errors
We try to keep prices, availability, descriptions, and specifications accurate, but errors happen, including in information supplied by manufacturers. If we discover an error that affects your order, we may correct it, and we may cancel and refund the affected order. This restates and does not replace what is said under “Prices” and “Product information.”
Shipping and returns
Shipping is governed by our Shipping Policy. Returns are governed by our Returns Policy. Both are part of these terms.
Customer accounts
You may create a customer account to view your order history. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential and for activity that takes place under your account. Contact us at John@ProfessionalGL.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Product information
Product descriptions, specifications, and images for third-party brands are supplied by their manufacturers and distributors, and remain the property of those owners. We make a reasonable effort to keep listings accurate, but manufacturers change specifications and finishes, and colors can vary between screens. If a listing contains an error, we may correct it, and we may cancel and refund an affected order.
Warranties
PGL does not add a warranty of its own to products made by other manufacturers. Where a manufacturer provides a warranty on a product, that warranty is the manufacturer's and is handled by the manufacturer under its own terms. Not every product carries a manufacturer warranty, and we do not promise that any particular product does.
This is separate from returns. Our Returns Policy gives you 30 days from purchase to return an item, and it applies whether or not a manufacturer warranty exists.
Information on this site
We want the information on this site to be helpful, but it is general information only. Product descriptions and specifications, and any tips, guides, or other editorial content, are provided for general information and are not professional, technical, installation, or safety advice. Specifications and finishes for third-party products come from their manufacturers and can change, and any content can become out of date or contain errors. You are responsible for deciding whether a product suits your needs, and for using and maintaining instruments and equipment safely. Where something matters, please confirm it — including with the manufacturer — before you rely on it.
Automated features and AI
This site uses automated systems to operate, including our website platform, the analytics and advertising services described in our Privacy Policy, and an automated keyword search. We also use AI-assisted and other software tools internally to help us research, draft, edit, and improve our own content, including product descriptions and other site content, guides, marketing, and communications, with human review before it is published or used. This does not mean the site offers an AI service to you, or that you are interacting with an AI system.
Where we use automated or AI-assisted tools, the results and content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and are provided without any guarantee that they are correct or suitable for a particular purpose. This kind of content is not professional advice and is not a substitute for your own judgment, and you rely on it at your own risk. If we describe something as reviewed by a person, that review does not make it error-free.
Disclaimer of warranties
This is separate from product warranties, which are covered under “Warranties” above. This section is about the website itself.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, this site and its content, and any automated or AI-assisted features it offers, are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that content, product information, search results, or automated output will be accurate, complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement in relation to the site and its content.
Nothing in this section removes or limits any warranty or right that applicable law does not allow to be excluded, including any implied warranties that cannot be waived and any mandatory consumer rights. Some places do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
The limits in this section are how we and you agree to allocate risk between us. They apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and they do not apply to any liability that the law does not allow to be limited or excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Professional Guitar Lessons LLC and the people who work for it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or relating to this site, its content, its automated or AI-assisted features, or any order, whether the claim is based on contract, warranty, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of those damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to this site, its content, its automated or AI-assisted features, or any order will not exceed the greater of the total amount you paid PGL for the product or order that is the subject of the claim, or one hundred US dollars (US $100).
These limits do not apply to liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited or excluded. That includes, where applicable, liability for fraud, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and any liability under consumer-protection or product laws that cannot be limited. Nothing in these terms is intended to remove a right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived, as also stated under “Governing law” below. Some places do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Third-party products, brands, and links
Many products we sell are made by other manufacturers and brands and are supplied to us by them or by distributors. Those manufacturers and suppliers are responsible for the specifications and manufacturer warranties they provide for their products. This site also relies on services from other companies, including our website platform, payment processor, and analytics and advertising providers, and it may link to other websites. We do not control third-party websites or services, we are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link or integration is not an endorsement. Your dealings with a third party are between you and that third party.
Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Professional Guitar Lessons LLC from claims, losses, and reasonable costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your misuse of this site, your breach of these terms, content you submit to the site, or your violation of law or of someone else’s rights. This applies to your own conduct; it does not make you responsible for our conduct. We may take control of the defense of any matter you are required to indemnify, and if we do, you agree to cooperate with us.
Reviews and other content you submit
If you submit a review or other content to this site, you give us permission to display it here alongside the product it relates to. Please only submit content that is yours to submit and that is lawful. We may moderate, decline to publish, or remove content, including anything that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or is abusive.
Sponsored Artist Program
Musicians are invited to apply to the PGL Sponsored Artist Program. Submitting an application does not by itself create a contract, employment, endorsement, sponsorship, or any other relationship between you and PGL. We may accept or decline any application at our discretion. If we do go on to work with you, that arrangement will be set out in a separate written agreement.
Dealer and wholesale applications
The Become a Registered Dealer page collects business information from prospective dealers. All applications are subject to review. Submitting the form does not create a dealer relationship or guarantee approval, and approval is at PGL's discretion.
Site content
The design, text, and original photography on this site, and the PGL and PGL Music names and logo, belong to Professional Guitar Lessons LLC. Please do not reproduce them without permission.
Using this site
Please use this site lawfully, and do not attempt to interfere with it, gain unauthorized access to it, or use it to send unsolicited commercial messages. We may suspend access to the site or to an account where necessary to protect the site or our customers.
Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures to perform that are caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural events, severe weather, fire, labor disruptions, carrier or supplier delays, outages of communications or payment or hosting services, and acts of government.
Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the terms stay in effect, and the unenforceable part will be limited or removed to the smallest extent necessary. Where a limitation of our liability is found to be unenforceable in a particular case, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of an order placed on this site, are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state courts located in Ventura County, California, and the federal courts serving Ventura County, are the venue for any such dispute.
Nothing in these terms is intended to remove a right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed, and the version published here at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
